Advice and notes for when choosing a mattress

 

All our mattresses are delivered flat, and they won’t be vacuum-packed or rolled.

We suggest rotating the mattress regularly, so it helps to keep the comfort layers evenly used and flip the mattress where recommended.

All our mattresses are fully compliant with all UK fire regulations

All fabric, colours, patterns and stitching may vary, and product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product due to the room set and accessories and studio lighting being used

 

Measuring Tip – Please allow an extra inch or 2cm when measuring available space.

 

Handstitched borders (thick borders) add an extra inch to width and length, which can cause an issue, especially with a bed frame where the mattress has to sit. So please let me know when you’re able to.  

 

When choosing a comfortable mattress, consider the following advice based on your weight: 

– For users under 10 stone, a medium feel is usually preferred unless you want a softer mattress that allows for more sinking.  

– If you weigh between 10 to 13 stone, opting for a medium to firm mattress to support your back effectively is best.  

– For those over 13 stone, a firmer mattress is recommended to provide extra support and prevent excessive sinking.

Buying from Wow Beds means your bed will be delivered directly to your door anywhere in the mainland UK between 5 to 20 working days, depending on your purchase.

Standard-sized beds and mattresses that are in stock are usually delivered as follows:

  • Foam mattresses within 5 working days, Wooden bed frames within 5 to 20 working days, Divans & sprung mattresses within 15 to 20 working days

  • Special sizes/made to measure orders can take longer. Once you’ve placed your order and it’s ready for despatch, you will receive delivery information by text or email a minimum of 24 hours prior to delivery. You are then able to amend the delivery time with the carrier if it is not convenient. Our customer service team is available to deal with any issues.
